With the new skin up I don’t my little spinning Helix anymore. I don’t see a way to get Team Helix as a group (if it is one?). Aside from our signatures can we show who is still going?
Firstly I would like to say hello to everyone, I have been hanging around this site for a while and have found the community to be friendly and very knowledgeable. I’m hoping you guys could help me out in relation to a bit of a dilemma I have……..
I currently run an IT Design/Consultancy business and host a few websites for clients etc on a VPS which has always proved to be pretty straightforward and hassle free. Recently, I was presented with the opportunity to acquire a hosting company with quite a few clients, so I went ahead with the purchase had all assets transferred to my company etc. But, to be honest I didn
I was thinking, just to stir up some hype, that I’d start a little “contest” of sorts. I’ve setup a myspace just for imeanwebhosting.com, and am going to get people to become friends and comment with pictures of them wearing anything with our logo on it, or even holding signs that say they love imeanwebhosting (lol).
Anyways, I was going to give a handful of yearly hosting accounts away to entries chosen randomly, and the top 3 entries (voted by me and a few friends) get something like IPod nanos (or equiv, anything ~$200)
I didn’t really see a decent thread about advertising on the local radio, but what are your thoughts?
I currently advertise through word of mouth and of course direct contact, but I’m looking to gain more recognition throughout the community. Due to the economy and the amount of radio advertising is diminishing, I’m on the verge of jumping in head first to “test” the waters. Rates have dropped significantly due to less advertisers making it a small investment for some potential clients.

Thought i would post a small 30 day review on Hosting Dispatch.
I have been with Hosting Dispatch for about 30 days now..give or take a few days. I at first had no intentions to change hosting from my previous host to Hosting Dispatch but one day I posted a problem here on WHT after my previous host could not figure the problem out or just wasnt wanting to fix the problem but anyways Dylan from Hosting Dispatch contacted me via msn to see if I needed any help fixing my problem and after setting him up to fix the problemhe had the problem solved in less then 15 minutes of loging in. He told me if I needed any more help to get a hold of him and he would see what he could do.After having mutiple problems he seemed to be very knowledgable in the industry and not a lazy person that needs nagging.
After multiple problems with the previous host I decided to switch to Hosting Dispatch and have a ZERO down time and superb ticket response when i need to submit tickets..I have had no problems getting a hold of someone when i need to ask questions and their prices a fare better then expected after searching around the hosting sites.
More reviews coming around the sixth month mark.
I have failover reseller account with resellerzoom, and every thing seemed to be good last year but recently their service has degraded considerably. All my sites are down since yesterday and as per technical support somehow the “dns records went missing” and they reentered the records. Despite the reentry, the sites are still down. Their support is quick to respond but what good is speed if problem is not resolved. This issue has made me consider other alternatives to resellerzoom such as hostgator but i am still hoping they would fix the issue and retain their client.
