About a week ago, a client signed up for 2 reseller packages with my hosting company. All was fine, he asked for his free private nameservers and they were given.
Then yesterday he submitted a ticket, it was resolved within 5 hours and I thought all was fine. Then he some how found my personal email, then sent me an email to my personal address relating to a new problem caused by the fix of the old problem. I don’t read my personal email because it receives too much spam so I can’t find the important emails. The client was unhappy with this so he decides to use domain whois to find my phone number.

Hi, I am looking for a reliable hosting provider to migrate my reseller account from current server.
It can be an standard reseller account or a managed dedicated hosting or vps. We have up to 200 usd montly budget.
I need really good server plans but most important is the uptime. I dont want services like dreamhost nor bluehost. I have some clients with corporate blogs and cant afford having issues with uptime.
I am behind Peer1 and ServerBeach. Are they good? any other provider to recommend?

Hello,
I posted a question earlier inquiring about what type of hosting service I would need and roughly what kind of space and bandwidth, etc. I am an independent musician with a small record company..
Anyhow, I was thinking that maybe I want to get a beginning reseller plan with Knownhost - for a few reasons. First of all I came across quite a few people praising them. But is that praise for shared plans too? I did a rough estimation of what I hope my bandwidth would eventually grow to be, and it was around 36gigs a month. Who knows? But at least I would have some headroom to play with. Anyways to make a long story short, I am considering getting the beginner reseller plan which has 5 gigs of space and 40 gigs of bandwidth, and then see if I can get a few of my friends with websites to go in with me and charge them a few bucks a month. Its an idea..

On 08/04/2008, i read an hosting offers which adveristed by Resellerscene.com in the “Reseller Hosting Offer” section of this forum. They are offering decent amount of hd/bw with low prices so i decided to gave a try on them. But before i did, i emailed their sale representative to consult if they allow URL shortening site to be hosted on their server. After 18 hours later, i recieved an email from their sale and told me that it was allowed so i went on signed an hosting package so called “Diamond Solution”. After completed my purchase and received my login detail, i immediately went on to uploaded my files and started working with my site. The first few days everything was running smoothly but then their server went down continuously afterward (Check siteuptime[dot]com/statistics.php?Id=69875&&UserId=87322). Well, for a server that outage 7 times within a month is consider bad enough but i did not pissed off because of that instead when they sent me an early invoice on 08/21/2008 before the due date 09/03/2008 i paid
immediately without any question. After few days later, i tried to accessed my site but was returned 404 page not found! I then submitted ticket to their support and was told that my site had been terminated because of violated their Terms of Service. They given reason was someone sent some emails with the shortened URLs created with our site to their mails adveristed about selling drugs? Funny wasn’t it? Why would someone bothered to sent mails to them without even knowing their mail account? Why they did not sent it to my mail instead? They should jolly well know that those are beyond our control of what users used the service for or redirected the URL to! Just like YouTube, they can’t control users uploads copyrighted videos too… What we as a site owner have to do is to wait someone to report the abuse content so we can/will delete it right? Why in the first place, they allowing URL shortening site (im sure they know what this service used for)but then now thing turned differently when gotten our money and worst still not even a month hosted with them lol. I asked them for a refund the amount that i prepaided for the following month (september) since i had to go but they declined. However, im preparing to file a Chargeback Recovery with my local bank since i understand PayPal will simply ignore non shipping items for dispute cases. The purpose of wroting this is to advice all friends out there to choose your host wisely or it would ended up like me.
